Firestorm 2006 - Volumes 1 & 2
Firestorm 2006 Volume 1: Excellent coverage of the DAY fire during the month of Sept. in the Los Padres NF and Ventura County. Good aerial tanker shots and extreme fire behavior.
The video also covers the QUAILfire in Los Angeles and Kern Counties with good aerial shots, both helicopter and fixed wing. The GOLD ST. fire in Columbia, CA is a one acre fire with four structures
destoyed. Video opens with the dispatch and companies leaving quarters. The last, but the most spectacular fire is the SHEKELL fire in Moorpark, CA. 80 mph winds drive the fire destoying several
structures including a 1000 foot long commercial building. Excellent coverage of firefighters attempting to save structures. 83 minutes.

Firestorm 2006 Volume 2: Video opens with the ESPERANZA fire in Riverside County resulting in the deaths of five San Bernardino National Forest fire fighters. Coverage of that
incident is not included. Extreme fire behavior is featured with rapid spotting and crews attempting to catch them. A section also covers good aerial fixed wing shots. A brief tribute to the
fallen firefighters features the Memorial Service. The SIERRA fire in San Bernardino County is another wind driven fire destroying a large pallet yard. Good aerial fixed wing shots. The FOOTHILL

This video features three days on the east side of Buffalo, NY riding with Rescue 1. There are three fully involved
2 1/2 story frames, a smokey warehouse fire and an auto extrication. Filmed in the snow in December 2005, all fires
feature excellent 1st Due action with initial hoselines going into operation. All fires also begin with receipt
of the alarm in the station, crews donning turnouts, and responses through the streets
enroute to the fires.

Featured are several traffic accidents with Hurst tool operations including a 50 vehicle pile up with over 30 big rigs involved. Also, included is an auto vs. train , a water rescue with LAFD and the Coast Guard where 14 children are pulled from the ocean after their boat sinks, and a greater alarm fire with four fatalities and several injuries.
